Technical Lead/Manager

This position is based in Krakow, Poland.

The role: Technical Lead/Manager

We are looking for a Technical Lead/Managers (TLMs) who can own and drive technical projects and provide leadership for a group of engineers in an innovative and fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects.

This position is not a pure management position; TLMs are expected to contribute technically to their project. Our interview process will emphasize technical skills and management/organizational skills equally.

Responsibilities:

• Own and drive technical projects and provide leadership for a group of engineers in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
• Overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects.
• Work with product managers and/or customers to understand feature requirements, and drive their detailed definition.
• Demonstrate independence, creativity and initiative and the ability to master a solid understanding of the company’s architecture and its business goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline. In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant experience.
• Relevant hands-on technical experience with a record of strong individual technical achievement.
• Experience designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong C/C++ or Java or Python programming skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PhD in Computer Science.
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux or Windows environments.
• People management skills, proven track record of mentoring and coaching team members.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Capable of working closely with product management to ensure we are building the best products.
