These colours each have a different strength
so people can either rely on one colour or rely on more then one.
there is also colourless
each colour i think is like a different way of fighting you can have one style.
or you can use more then one.
you can be really good at one or use multiple so you have more options.
facing someone who uses one colour you now what there game plan is.
Because each colour relys on doing one thing. Since their deck is one colour they do they one thing really well.
so you have an idea of what they are trying to do but they do well.
know if you use more then one colour
you aren't as strong as someone who uses only one colour in any area
but you have more options open.
if you use 2 colours and your opponent uses one of the colour you are using. Your opponent will have more blue so will be stronger in blue. but you have white but your opponent has no white so you have more options then them.

Now take this card called Chuck Norris
it has two white two red and two colourless overall it cost 9 mana to play
you need two white and two red mana. The colourless mana has no colour. so the 5 colourless mana it needs can come from any colour. it dosent matter if you use 2 blue and 3 green to make 5. as long as it makes 5 its allowed.
you can play as many cards as you wish per turn as long as you have enough mana.
instant spells you can play on your opponents turn.
the same as well for cards with Flash ability.
know this card the one with numbers in the bottom right hand corner
this card has 50/50
Strength/toughness
if i attack a creature with 3 toughness and my strength is 5 i destroy that creature because my strength is higher then the toughness of that creature.
But if a attack a creature with toughness 5 and my strength is 4 i do not destroy that creature because there toughness is higher then my creatures strength. if i attack with a creature and my creatures strength is 5 and my opponents toughness is 5 then my opponents creature is destroyed because my creatures strength equals my opponents creature toughness

There are also spells which let you destroy creatures or increase there toughness, strength and all that
The game is a strategy type.
But that strategy is only one thing FORCE!
at the end of the day who has more force wins
each deck gets there force out differently
every single deck is designed to give them more force then there opponent
both sides rush and try to overwhelm the other. but each colour allows you use achieve this differently
now there are quick play decks which get a lot of creatures out quickly to overwhelm.
But if you can defend enough and play powerful creatures later on you then have more force then your opponents
weaker creatures so you have more force.
you win threw a overwhelming force or lose with a lack of force.

The game says when you play MTG you are a Planeswalker
you summon creatures use spells.
You can use cards which are planeswalkers.
they are powerful and have abilities which help you
this is Nicol Bolas probably the most powerful planeswalker there is and the most feared.
they gain loyalty points threw using there abilities.
the + and - symbols on the bottom of the cards.
he start off with 5 and gain and loses them depending on which ability you use.
Planeswalker can be target by creatures and some spells when they take damage they lose loyalty points.
so when he is played everybody targets him. unfortunately.
also there a some people which take the game to seriously
it stops being fun if people like that are in the game with you
iv played with people in a multiplayer game who not stop arguing with people till the person changed the target of their attack or spell and some who did eventually but insulted the person when they stopped arguing with the person who did the attack or spell
and there are other ways of winning that isn't reducing your opponents life to zero just with attacks and spells and stuff
i have won games of Magic by using ways to win like this
