Pulau Sembilan, Perak.

I visited Nine Islands (Pulau Sembilan) in Perak with my family a few days back and i couldn't wait to share it on my blog before 2016 ends. Tiny disclaimer, i love beaches (& islands), i might be biased/ describing everything through rose tinted glasses, but i'll try my best not to do so haha.

i have no idea what's so interesting on the left
jk. i like my left profile better, that's all lol

xD

After taking so many pictures of myself, i have to take some of my sisters & cousins too so Mama Lau won't complain about how my face is dominating the photos all the times LOLOL

two more haha

first meal on the island.
i guess you can call it buffet style (?) since we just get our plates and get what we want haha.
I wouldn't say it tastes the best but it was passable la haha.

candid by Mama Lau hehs

I was pretty thrilled when i found a float, a PINK float

totally forgotten to take those very "instagrammable" glam shots
like what all the other girls (& guys) are always doing lol

I just paddled off myself lol

there's volleyball too!
Boy my hands sure hurt after a game lol

I spot the camera hah!

Turned JF into a mermaid on shore.

We went snorkeling afterwards which i got no photos of because i was too lazy to get another to photograph me lol (amazed? you should be cause now that i'm saying it, i am too lol) I also tried snorkeling without life jacket, it was like... 3m deep? not really sure. but i actually floated pretty well haha it's either the water has really high density (i accidentally sucked, yes, literally sucked, some of the sea water via my snorkel, because i accidentally submerge too deep, IT WAS SALTY AF, i was dying for fresh water to drink afterwards, osmosis, crenation, you know?) or the amount of fats (lower density than water, oil floats in water, remember?) i have is high enough LOLOL I would say there's better places to snorkel since the types of fishes i saw there were pretty limited only tbh.

Was i teaching...science?

After snorkeling, we were given a short tour on the boat around the island but i wasn't paying attention so boo :( When we got back to the island, it was tea break! I forgotten to take a picture, again. We were served red bean soup (which i liked!) and two other types of fried kuih thingy which my sisters like.

Next, we had steamboat dinner! Sure isn't the fanciest but i was in a pretty good mood (beach vibes =positive vibes) so yeahh

After dinner was karaoke session which was pretty awkward in my opinion but that's another story & that doesn't really matters lol.

Not long afterwards we were told that the blue sand has appeared. We promptly went to the beach to take a look. WAIT, Ii forgotten to mention that the main attraction in Nine Islands is blue sand, 蓝眼泪. Wow i'm a pretty good storyteller eh? lol

It was my first time seeing the blue sand and i sure was amazed. They are so pretty!!

Supper was served haha

We slept in tents by the beach. Tbh, I find it quite uncomfortable (even with a sleeping bag and a mat) and hard to fall asleep lol but i'm not complaining, nope. I woke up at two am, intending to see if there's blue sand again, since we were told that they are most likely to appear at 2am & 4am, but i saw none :( I ended up sleeping at the chair outside my tent haha.

I've always wanted to sleep at the beach, not in a hotel, literally on the seaside.
One item on my bucketlist, checked!

rise & shine the next morning

breakfast was either nasi lemak or some fried noodles. I wanted the egg so i picked nasi lemak LOLOL

confession: i didn't brush/comb my hair lol

ARE YOU JUDGING ME UNCLE KW HAHAHA

After breakfast we packed and took the boat back. We had on elast meal at their restaurant before ending our trip. It was the best meal out of all five meals that they provided us with haha

We arranged our trip with 9 Islands agency. Personally i think they did a pretty good job organising everything so thumbs up for that. Also, did i mention it's only about RM300 for two days and one night, meals included? There's actually a pretty big toilet and proper place to shower but it was kinda far from the tents we were sleeping in, but it's still better than portable smelly toilets haha! I had a good time at Nine Islands and would not mind to revisit it again in future! :)

On the way back home we stopped by Teluk Intan to check out the Leaning Tower & oh it's reall yleaning ok the end lol

Love,
Sheunny
