Hansen is a serial entrepreneur and his passion lies in the field of technology, investment and building sustainable businesses. Hansen started to invest at the age of 19 where he opened his teenage account and manage his investment portfolio. After investing for 2 years in equities and exploring other options of investments, he was interested in real estate investments and worked diligently as a certified real estate agent under ERA to understand the property market.
He has co-founded 3 businesses ranging from brick and mortar to online businesses within a short span of 3 years. Currently, he is a graduate at Singapore Management University, a member of ASEAN chapter of Kairos Society, member of Acumen Impact Circle and fellow of Ground-up Initiative.
In addition, he took up the role as CEO in TechSociety Private Limited which has secured more than $100,000 worth of funding, contracts and support for commercialization. He successfully implemented a regional project, CodeForASEAN in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia. This initiative is proudly supported by the United States Department of State through the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI).
Hansen is also a strong advocate of volunteering and believes in contributing back to the society. He was awarded the SSA-IKEDA PEACE AWARD (STUDENT AWARDS 2015-16) to recognize his commitment to the spirit of volunteerism, significant contributions to SMU and the community at large through partnership with volunteer welfare organisations. This award is supported by Singapore Soka Association (SSA) and Singapore Management University.

Build Africa Industry Limited (BAI) believes industrialization is the key to economic progress in Kenya. It will seek to develop production capabilities at grassroots level. This is achieved through the utilization of Kenyan and overseas interns, Kenyan and overseas volunteers, and the implementation of youth and women vocational training.
BAI has an associate company in Kenya called Coastal Bamboo and Coir Development Company (CBCDC). It has a project in Kwale County (Kenya) pertaining to rural enterprise on bamboo and coir products.
Project Bayashu is a pioneer initiative by CBCDC. It aims to tackle the challenge of educating elementary school children in East Africa, specifically Kenya, on computer science. In today’s fast-paced economy, we believe in equipping the next generation with computer programming skills, and improving their STEM learning outcomes through experiential curriculum. We use both plugged and unplugged tools such as Cubetto and Scratch, which has impacted less than 300 students in Milalani Primary School and Fihoni Primary School
