As Ronald’s appearances in the anime are rare and non-existent, I’m not bothering with anime references besides concept art. And I’m really sorry, I don’t have a source for the magazine images as I downloaded them someplace random and forgot to save the source. =P

While still a proper shinigami, Ronald is generally portrayed as William’s opposite. While the general components of his outfit are the same, he ends up with a hipster look instead of a business look. 

In the musical, Ronald’s jacket and pants are nearly identical to everyone else’s. I suppose it’s a sort of uniform. The jacket is a basic notched-collar suitjacket and is made in four pieces – two fronts and two backs (seam down the center). There are matching darts for shaping on the fronts. Instead of back darts, there are vents. (Note – I don’t actually understand suit construction. Click for as much detail as I could get with the screenshot as I could be wrong and it could be pleats instead.) The sleeves have three buttons. There are two side pockets but no breast pocket. There are three front buttons, but he never buttons them.

His vest has six buttons, is made of a finely patterned black material, and is just short enough that any sort of arm movement will show the white of his shirt underneath. The shirt itself is plain white with an ordinary dress shirt collar.

The pants are neatly pressed black dress slacks. His shoes are white full brogue oxfords. His tie is black (finely woven/patterned) but not tight at all; it’s very loose. Like all the other shinigamis, he wears leather gloves, although he has got a watch under the cuff on the right wrist. His glasses are rounder and have thicker rims than William’s. They give him that nerdy/hipster edge without being huge actual nerd glasses.

Again, not a props person, so have some good concept art sketches of his death scythe/lawnmower!

EDIT 1/25/14 – The lovely S. has let me know of a couple details I’ve missed as well as gave me some more reference photos and a translation of a color concept art sheet.
