Lavigne co-wrote every original track on the album and took on production duties for the first time
As of 2015, according to Billboard, Goodbye Lullaby has sold a total of 394,000 copies in the US.
As a songwriter, I definitely pull inspiration from my life, and anything I’ve experienced, or things I’ve seen my friends go through or family. This record for me, it’s a really person record as all of my other albums are. It has a different feel and vibe and tone throughout the album. Check out the record because it’s more emotional, deeper record.

This album is the first that is not boy-bashing. It is inspired by my personal relationships? Yes. Inspired by life experiences? Yes. Inspired by experiences in situations with my family and friends? Yes.
