Pakistani Singer Reveals He Refused To Work With Katrina Kaif; 'They Said, You Can't Talk About Kashmir'

Pakistani singer Abrar ul Haq recently revealed that he had a couple of opportunities to work in the Hindi film industry. However, he turned them down due to a clause in the contract by the Indian companies. The actor expressed his disappointment over the clause and talked about the missed opportunities.

In an interview with Hafiz Ahmed on his Podcast, Pakistani singer Abrar ul Haq claimed that he got movie offers from India as well as offers for an album. He elaborated on his reason for rejecting all the offers.

''But I didn't understand their contract... 'You can't speak, you can't talk about Kashmir, etc.' I thought that a country that believes in the freedom of expression shouldn't say such things. So I didn't do them,'' he revealed and continued, ''There's a company called Eros; they offered a movie''.

Abrar ul Haq added, ''The actress was Katrina Kaif. My friends were after me, saying, 'If you don't want to do it, at least let us go!' But I didn't want to do movies (In India). They called me excitedly and even said, 'No one has ever refused us, but you have. No one has ever told us they don't want to do our films. We thought you'd come running' ''.

In 2022, Ul Haq levelled allegations against Karan Johar for 'stealing' his song for his film JugJugg Jeeyo starring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani and more. The song is question was The Punjaabban which quickly became popular.
