**Updated: Australia dairy set meal has increased by HKD2
continued from here…
Kick-started day 2 with breakfast at Australian Dairy Company for the famous scrambled egg.
It was packed to the brim on a Saturday morning.
me: 2 pax he: line up there a moment later..... he: table for 4 she: me!!! he: 1..2..3.....only 3 she: 1 go park car he: nono... wait all here first then only can go in.... next!!!
that’s the scenario.. no reservation!! oh, btw… me is me 😀 he is the wait staff and she is the aunty first in the line
waited for 10min before being seated at the a very small table in the corner facing a window. yeah to privacy and no table sharing 😀
so I’ve heard how impatient they can be especially when there are so many customers and this caused me to switch to panic mode during order and the fact that I can’t read mandarin doesn’t help at all.
In a rush, this is what we ordered. Sad thing is……. we forgot about the fresh milk… duh!!!
Set with fluffy scrambled egg
set with double fried egg with runny yolk
and macaroni which was not to our liking. it’s pretty salty.
plain milk tea.. you got to add in sugar yourself.
Business hours are from 7:30am to 11pm
Address: 47-49, Parkes Street
To get there: Take Tsuen Wan line (red) to Jordan Station and follow exit C2. Once you are at the exit, walk straight until you see Parkes street. Turn right and cross over. Australian Dairy is on your left.
Since there are some time left before check out, we went to Mong Kok. Forgot what exit we followed but right opposite the exit is H&M
Too bad they are not open for business yet… 😦
Strolled around for a while before heading back to hotel for check out.
Adjourned to Causeway Bay to check in at Butterfly on Morrison Hotel
Freshen up and went to Central for the famous roasted goose.
It was already 3pm so there’s no queue. Were seated at the 1st floor right away.
Ordered the must try quarter goose leg priced at HKD170…
The skin was crispy and the layer of succulent fat added an extra kick to the whole dish. The portion is nice enough to satisfy our crave.
Tried their char siew rice which was a tad too dry and thick. I personally prefer caramelized type. This costs HKD38
On the other hand, the wan tan mee priced at HKD38 was yummy.. The noodle was very thin and springy. The dumplings comprises fresh prawn and minced pork was bursting with flavors.
Business hours are from 11am to 11:30pm
Address: 32-40, Wellington Street, Central (Central MTR Exit D2) (11am-11:30pm)
To get there: Take Island Line to Central station and follow MTR Exit D2. Once you are at the exit, turn right and a few step away is a junction. Turn right and walk straight until you reach the main road. Cross over and Wellington street is 2 or 3 street away.
After the sumptuous lunch, we walked to the Garden Road Peak Tram Lower terminal for tram to Victoria peak and Madame Tussauds. Mind you, it was quite far not to mention the slope. a good workout!!
When we reached there, the queue was so long it stretched to the main road.
Speaking of which, luckily we bought the ticket earlier from here… It’s a lil cheaper than the ticketing counter and they’ll send it to your hotel at an additional HKD10. It’s pretty convenient and good thing is, you save time queuing 😀
So happy can skip the long queue. waiting for the tram and after 15 minutes or so… here it came to pick us up to the hill… 🙂
The tram operate daily from 7am to 12am.
To get there: Take Island Line to Central station and follow MTR Exit J2. There are signboard all the way to the terminal so just follow 🙂
the view from peak tower.. the concrete city…
rich people house but i’ll go crazy if I need to go up and down the hill everyday… hehee!!
stayed there until
night falls where it get too windy and cold to enjoy anymore. The chill was unbearable, therefore we proceeded to indoor for wax figure exhibition
Madame Tussauds is located at Level 1 in Peak Tower. You can easily spot it while on the way to the peak.
We bought return ticket for the tram but when we reached the terminal, again the queue was OMG…. have to stand outside and the cold wind isn’t doing us a favor
so we decided to take the bus down hill. The bus terminal is just a few min walk from this building. turn left
The bus fare is HKD9.80 one way. you can pay using octopus card or prepare the correct amount. all buses in HK do not return the balance.
Stopped at Central and gosh!! we forgot it was Halloween eve. There are road block everywhere leading to Lan Kwai Fong and we were just following blindly.
Settled at Tsim Tsai Kee for dinner before joining the crazy crowd. Seriously, those people sweat can drown you.. heheheeee!!
Special wan tan mee that came with 2 big wan tan, fish paste, beef and pork meat. Pretty decent but the fish paste tasted weird, according to him.
I dunoo what’s the hype about HK wan tan mee but I’m getting bored adi… still prefer the dry version here
By the time we are done with our meal, more and more people flocked to Lan Kwai Fong.
Below is the collage of happening people that night. We took a lot of photos of their costumes before finding our way to the MTR but most of it are either blur or too dark.. i think it’s time for a external flash.. *hint hint
didn’t join the celebration bcoz we went there unprepared plus we need to wake up early the next day for Disneyland, a journey into fantasy world 😀
That basically summarize my day 2 in HK. Stay tuned for more…
