Taemin (태민) is the youngest member of South Korean boy group SHINee, under SM Entertainment. On May 25, 2008, he debuted as a member of SHINee with the group's first mini album, "Replay". He made his debut as a solo artist on August 18, 2014, with his first mini album, "Ace". On October 4, 2019, he joined SM Entertainment's supergroup, SuperM.
Taemin has had great success with his solo activities, releasing both Korean and Japanese albums. As a solo artist, he is best known for his 2017 hit "Move". The song gained attention for its distinctive choreography, which went viral in South Korea, and Taemin received praise for his "genderless" performance style. In 2017, Taemin began his 1st solo concert tour in Seoul called 'Off-Sick', and later embarked on tours across Japan. Taemin is often nicknamed the "idol of idols" for his influence on younger idols.
On April 19, 2021, Taemin revealed he will be the final member of SHINee to enlist as a member of the military band on May 31. On January 14, 2022, it was announced that Taemin would finish the rest of his military service as a public service worker due to worsening symptoms of depression, anxiety and panic disorder. He was discharged on April 4, 2023.
