Ever heard of the latest hot topic on "blue tears"? Pulau Sembilan is also known for its famous blue tears, which glows in blue on the sand beach at night.
Pulau Sembilan is located at Perak. You would need to go by boat from Bagan datoh for around 30 minutes. The people here are extremely friendly, it is even closer if you're a teochew nang because most of the residents in this fisher village here are also teochew nang themselves.
The water here is clean, a blueish green color looking view from the beach. This place has a different feeling with all the other islands I visited so far. We camped at the beachside with tents provided by them. This is indeed a very free & easy way of relaxing yourself. We have ourselves a 2 day 1 night trip. There's snorkelling, karaoke, steamboat, bbq provided by the people here. You can also bring your fishing equipments & do fishing on the island. We felt kinda hear warming as the people here are very friendly to talk to, it is like having holiday in a big family. Although we didn't get to taste any expensive seafood here, but the fish & sotong taste quite fresh, with a sense of homemade cooking.
During the night, they would turn off the lights so that we could take a closer look on the blue tears. Depending on luck, some might be able to see alot of them being brought ashore by the waves. Try finding them in the sands and you would see more of them hiding. To us this is like watching a sea version of fireflies. Other than that be sure not to miss out the beautiful starts just above you. We enjoyed ourselves by sitting just in front of the waves looking all of them at once.
A friendly reminder is to queue before the line gets longer cause there's limited bathroom here.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
