Sushi Zanmai

I've always loved Sushi Zanmai. Among all of the sushi bars in Malaysia, Zanmai is still my favourite. What I love is their mentaiko sushi, especially the tamago (egg) ones. I also love their savoury pancake and scallops. The savoury pancake has is like a Japanese version of a pizza topped with a special brown sauce, dried small shrimps, and mayonnaise among other things. The portion is not big, I could finish the whole thing and still feed myself with some sushi, but that's okay because I rarely go to sushi bars for just one thing unless it's a bowl of ramen. The scallop has that mentaiko sauce on it, and it jives well together.

There is usually a long wait for this sushi bar, and sometimes the wait can go up to more than half an hour depending on the hour and day. Still, the waiters are nice enough to inform you if you asked, but if you're really craving for sushi, then it is worth the wait.
