Lee Seung-gi to establish own agency
25 May – Amid reports about his new romantic relationship actress Lee Da-in, it was revealed that Korean star Lee Seung-gi will be establishing his own agency soon.
As reported on Pinkvilla, news of his departure from Hook Entertainment - his home for 17 years - was confirmed by the company itself on 24 May in a statement that read as follows:
"Our exclusive contract with our artist Lee Seung-gi will be terminated on May 31. Even though we have been together for a long time even with a relationship based on trust even before his debut, he recently has decided to establish a new one-man agency and promote independently, so we agreed to maintain a relationship that is supportive of each other in the future."
The company also thanked Lee for his many years of collaboration, as well as to fans who have always shown support for the actor.
"We will do our best to support Lee Seung-gi and cheer him on as he takes on more challenges as an independent artiste," it added.
Sources claimed that Lee is planning to establish his own management agency with his father. However, the actor has made no statement about it just yet.
