Broadcast Date: Jan 5 – Feb 24, 2011
Total Episodes: 16
Leads: Song Seung Heon & Kim Tae Hee

Synopsis: As an ordinary college student who is mired in school work and part time jobs, our heroine’s humdrum existence suddenly becomes a modern day fairytale when she finds out that she is actually a princess. Finding herself thrust into an unfamiliar world, our heroine’s only hope of becoming a “real princess” rest upon the shoulder of our very reluctant hero who is tasked with the impossible mission of turning our heroine into a fine royal lady. Forced to be a tutor to the new princess- whose very existence could possibly lead to him losing all chance of inheriting his family vast fortune, our hero would love to turn his back on our heroine…if he can somehow ignore our heroine’s pitiful puppy eyes.

Why I liked it: It has Song Seung Heon walking around shirtless… The End. Happy holidays, that’s my gift to you guys.

In case THAT reason is not enough for some of you, I did come up with a few more reasons. Song Seung Heon usually plays the cool aloof type…which he still kinda is in this one, but his character here is such a softie when it comes to our heroine that I have to say this is probably my favorite role he has played yet. Not to be undone by our hero, Kim Tae Hee also did a great job as the bumbling but spunky heroine. I usually find this type of heroine tiring but Kim Tae Hee was able to make her character quite loveable instead. Our two leads’ chemistry is so cute together that I still remember it with a smile even after all these years.

The show doesn’t take itself too seriously and My Princess is obviously not meant to be an in-depth sort of drama so if you go into this one expecting it to just be a fluffy cute romance that will make you swoon like a silly school girl, then I think it will not disappoint.
