Triple H reveals brutal injury suffered in Saudi Arabia

Triple H revealed the brutal damage done to his torn pectoral muscle as he prepares to undergo surgery.

The WWE legend suffered the agonizing damage during the main event of Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on Friday.

The 49-year-old joined up with old pal Shawn Michaels to face the Brothers of Destruction Kane and The Undertaker at the controversial pay-per-view. The NXT founder was injured in the action-packed match, which he went on to win by pinning the Big Red Machine after hitting him with a Pedigree.

After arriving back in the US from Saudi Arabia, the 14-time world champion is going under the knife Tuesday morning to repair the tear. Triple H shared a snap of the huge bruise covering almost half of his upper half ahead of the operation.

Posting a picture of his battered body on Instagram, he captioned the photo with: “Surgery in the AM… makes you stronger.”

After recently returning to the ring to do battle with Undertaker at last month’s Super Show-Down before his tag-team triumph with HBK, WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative is expected to now spend several months on the sidelines.

However, the icon is no stranger to injury.

He battled on to complete a match on “Monday Night Raw” back in 2001 with a torn quadriceps.

It is not known how long Triple H, who has been with the wrestling promotion for nearly 25 years, will be out. He suffered the injury during a spot where he fell out of the ring. It could put a possible matchup with Batista at WrestleMania next year in New York in doubt.
