Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly made quite the dramatic entrance on Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards 2021 red carpet, with the “Jennifer’s Body” actress rocking a barely-there black Mugler gown and the “My Ex’s Best Friend” singer clad in an oversize Balmain suit with an unbuttoned shirt.
Fox, 35, sizzled in a sheer cutout dress ($1,698) from the French fashion brand featuring a cleavage-framing crisscrossed neckline and see-through draped tulle skirt.
If the style seems familiar, it’s likely because back in 2019, Kim Kardashian broke the internet in a strikingly similar vintage Thierry Mugler gown that seemed to be one shifting strap away from a major wardrobe malfunction.
The modern-day house of Mugler — now designed by Casey Cadwallader instead of its eponymous founder — has made these ultra-revealing cutout creations a brand signature over the past several years.
The label’s strappy, sheer catsuits have proven particularly popular with celebrities like Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus, Irina Shayk and Billie Eilish, the latter of whom recently wore a version for her viral British Vogue cover shoot.
And it wasn’t just his hot date who turned heads at Sunday’s BBMAs; 31-year-old Kelly, who took home the Top Rock Artist and Top Rock Album awards, bared his dozens of chest tattoos on the carpet, accessorizing with a black-and-white checkered manicure and even painting his tongue black for the occasion.
It’s just the latest stylish outing for MGK and Fox, who have been dating for about a year after meeting on the set of “Midnight in the Switchgrass.” The “twin flames” previously graced the 2020 AMAs red carpet in likeminded skin-baring satin ensembles, coordinated in shiny PVC trench coats and matched in shades of red for a recent date night.
