Ashy Tailorbird [Orthotomus ruficeps]

This little bird is very much talented in sewing!
In that way, they’ve got the name of Tailorbird.
They weave two leaves using plant fiber to make a kind of pouch that will serve as a nest for breeding season. Every living creature has their own skill to survive and this little fellas are good examples of such a genuine charm.

I met Ashy Tailorbird [Orthotomus ruficeps] in Singapore in October, 2018. At that time, I could not observe their “beak-made” nests, probably it was already after their breeding season. Instead, I found two birders’ videos showing the sewing skills of tailorbirds.

How wonderful!
