Lisa Surihani and Tomok reunite ten years after "Istanbul, Aku Datang!"
18 Nov – It was a little reunion for Lisa Surihani and Tomok, after the actress attended the latest episode of "Gegar Vaganza" to cheer her former co-star on.
The actress, who worked with Tomok in the 2012 rom-com, "Istanbul, Aku Datang!" shared a photo of her and the singer on social media, and wrote, "Unplanned mini Istanbul Aku Datang reunion. Happy to see Azad and my dear sister Tisha again after so long."
Azad, in this case, refers to Tomok's character's name in the movie.
She continued, "Tomok, I am happy and proud of your weekly performance and look forward to see what kind of creativity you would bring no matter what challenge. You have always been so humble and it is undeniable that you have courage to rise to the challenge... All the best for the final two weeks!"
In response, Tomok posted, "Praise be to God. Thank you, Lisa. It's been a while since we met. I'm happy for you. Please pray for me and the others in GV, okay?"
It is noted that Tomok performed "Awas" in the most recent episode, a song whose original performers were KRU and whose member Yusry Halim is married to Lisa.
