Rozita Che Wan denies bankruptcy rumour

26 Jan - Rozita Che Wan has dismissed rumours saying that she has been declared bankrupt by the High Court of Malaya.

The actress, known to fans by the moniker Che Ta, stated that it was the first time that she found out about the rumour, which sparked after a bankruptcy notice bearing her name circulated online.

"This is a ridiculous allegation. If it's the truth, I would have received the notice first before everybody else. I have never even skipped my taxes," she said.

Che Ta stated that she pays nearly RM 50,000 in taxes monthly through an agent, which is why she doesn't understand how such an accusation would surface.

"It's fine. I will let the appointed agent deal with it," she added.

The actress admitted that she did face a tax problem back in 2014, but that was a long time ago.

"I don't want to deal with that. It is not my problem," she added.
