Character analysis: Soma from “Black butler”

-I have failed another exam, and even though I tried my best I was still late for the exam. I feel defeated, and I want to write about Soma, knowing for sure that he would try to cheer me up and not make me feel even worse, like some in my life{Not saying any names.Hahaha}. Soma is cheerful but arrogant; intelligent but reckless; kind but childish. Soma is a personification of his upbringing {Wealthy prince with no responsibility, who wasn’t paid attention or love by his parents}. He’s still young, and his personality has much to grow.

I don’t know much MBTI, but I think Soma is an ENFP. He’s very intelligent, but someone who can’t maintain his concentration for a long time. When he was in India, I bet he had many hobbies and studied a lot. His parents didn’t pay much attention to him, nor did his older siblings, so he probably made “friends” wherever he went. His loneliness (and his personality!) probably pushed him to do many things.

He was alone, even though he had 25 siblings. I guess bigger a family is, less attached they are to each other. Though, it’s not always this way. {Image them not knowing all the names of one another. ‘Hmmm…Which brother are you?’}

Talking about his hobbies, do you know that Soma has even his team? I’m sure that he tried many different kind of activities in the palace.

Soma is super friendly and very helpful to his friends, though he can be quite clingy.

If Soma had spent more time with his parents or sibling, I believe that his personality would be more mature than it is. According to me, Soma possesses the qualities of being a king, and plus age and more experience, he would have been a great king. He really grew up a lot since he came to England, because he got out of his comfort zone in order to search for Mina. Agni was very kind to him, and a great friend, but I think that Agni should’ve said to Soma that this drawing wouldn’t do after all.

Agni should’ve taught Soma how to draw better, and tell him the truth more instead of protecting him from reality. I’m not saying that Agni should talk like Sebastian here, but it’s important that he taught Soma sometimes. He was to Soma closer than his parents after all.

I wonder what Sebastian would say to him if he wasn’t interrupted by Earl Phantomhive{When will we learn his name?!} here.

From then Soma has developed a fear from Sebastian. He noticed Sebastian’s demonic nature without knowing that Sebastian is a demon. I believe that before he started living in England, Soma didn’t pay much attention to the way he interacts with others, though that changed a bit after Sebastian’s “lesson.” He had no problem going to someone’s house without permission, and even called Earl Phantomhive runt many times.

And, he doesn’t respect other people’s privacy.

I hope that very soon Soma learns that it wasn’t Our Ciel that killed Agni. I hate to see him hate Our Ciel for something he didn’t do. The funniest moment of his was when he called Our Ciel gloomy and self-deprecating.
