Fire Ant |||| Semut Api
Fire ants have a slightly reddish brown body. These insects usually live colonized. One colony can reach 100,000 ants.
Inside one colony there is one queen and thousands of worker ants over 3 mm of worker ants. and the queen's queen's length reaches 6 mm. An ant queen can produce 150 eggs and 200 eggs daily.
Fire ant colonies usually make a mound of soil that reaches 2 feet high. This mound is usually made in the open and exposed to the sun.
These ants have bites that can make human skin feel itchy and even hurt.
Semut Api
Semut api mempunyai tubuh yang berwarna coklat agak kemerahan . Serangga ini biasanya hidup berkoloni . Satu koloni bisa mencapai 100.000 ekor semut .
Di dalam saru koloni terdapat satu orang ratu dan ribuan semut pekerja .panjang semut pekerja 3 mm . dan panjang semut ratu mencapai 6 mm .Ratu semut dapat menghasilkan telur 150 dan 200 telur setiap hari .
Koloni semut api biasanya membuat gundukan tanah yang tingginya mencapai 2 kaki . Gundukan ini biasanya dibuat di tempat terbuka dan terkena sinar matahari.
Semut ini memiliki gigitan yang bisa membuat kulit manusia terasa gatal bahkan bisa terluka .
