Bastian - At The Top, Dadar

Bastian - At The top

Bastian - At The Top is a magnificent new restaurant in Mumbai, perched atop the 48th floor of Kohinoor Square in Dadar. The restaurant provides a panoramic view of the Mumbai city skyline. The restaurant offers delectable cuisine, an eagle-eye view of the city and a Cappadocia-esque feel throughout its cosy interiors. This high-rise, cave-like restaurant concept is designed by Minal Chopra, who is responsible for other Bastian projects as well. Seating around 450 people, the restaurant offers multiple amenities. With its rustic and Arabian-style interiors, the restaurant is a complete fine dining experience.

The interior boasts an ethereal charm with Arabian-style wicker lamps hanging off the ceilings, creating a soft glow throughout the dining space. The rustic allure of the place is enhanced by the use of soft and earthy tones all around, creating uniformity, and giving the cave-like structure an even more authentic feel.

Dome, Marine Drive

Dome

With a view of the iconic Queen's Necklace of Mumbai, the dining experience at Dome is one of a kind. Dome is a rooftop restaurant perched atop the InterContinental hotel in Mumbai and has been a long-standing favourite for years now. The interiors of the restaurant aim for a Romanesque structure, with a glass dome structure built on one side of the restaurant, as the name suggests. The interiors of the restaurant feature white and muted tones that blend well with the rooftop setting. The bar of the restaurant offers a wide selection of drinks, including cocktails such as Queen's Necklace and Dome Kingdom.

Asilo, Lower Parel

Asilo

When it comes to hotel restaurants in Mumbai, Asilo is one of the hottest options in the city. Offering a panoramic view of Mumbai, the open-to-sky space is on the 40th floor of the St. Regis hotel in Lower Parel, and gives you a bird's eye view of the sea and cityscape. Looking for a private zone, it offers cabanas and secluded sections to book as well. The interiors of the bar are made to resemble Santorini.

Koshii, Lower Parel

Koshii

Another gem from St. Regis in Mumbai, Koshii, is placed on the 37th floor of the hotel. The restaurant blends Peruvian and Japanese cultures. Koishii is made of two words: koi- the act of falling in love, and itishi, the feeling of doing something for someone you love. The dining space is divided into four zones. The see-through glass kitchen makes a statement. The restaurant is filled with post-industrial-style decor, complete with vintage chandeliers. The walls and ceilings are covered in light wood furnishings. The industrial-style bar, vintage bookshelves, leather, and navy upholstery adds an irresistible charm to the restaurant. Floor-to-ceiling walls offer a spectacular bird-eye view of the Mahalaxmi race course and Bandra-Worli sea link.

AER, Worli

AER

Equipped with a Wimbledon-style folding roof, the AER bar and lounge has been designed to imitate the interiors of a yacht-club. AER at the Four Seasons Hotel in Mumbai is a gorgeous rooftop bar and lounge, accessible even during monsoons. Nautical flooring and deck-style seating make a convincing argument for the yacht inspiration. AER gives a view of the Mumbai skyline and the Arabian Sea, all at once. The 75-seater lounge area offers an intriguing view of the city. The dominant colour palette includes yellow and blue. A fluted bar occupies the centre of the lounge area. Minimal lighting and the use of wicker create a soft glow in the evenings. AER pays a tribute to the many moods of the sky in their 12-cocktails menu.
