You can use the DJ software rekordbox or Serato DJ Lite for free by connecting your PC/Mac to the DDJ-FLX4 to complete your DJ setup. And if you want to upgrade to Serato DJ Pro, you can buy a license or subscription for the premium version of the software.
Multi-device support
Whether you want to connect to a PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, or an Android phone or tablet, the DDJ-FLX4 is versatile. Even better, if you use the controller with rekordbox for iOS/Android, you'll be able to connect to your device via Bluetooth or USB cable.
Portable design & professional layout
The layout makes it easy to learn to DJ and is inherited from professional Pioneer DJ products. Everything is simple to use and neatly arranged, which makes the controller compact enough to take anywhere you want to practice or perform.
Smart Mixing
The Smart Fader feature automatically adjusts the volume, bass volume, and BPM of the music so you can smoothly transition from one track to the next by moving the channel faders or crossfader. With Smart CFX, you can turn a knob to apply a combination or effects.
Seamless integration
rekordbox is compatible with a choice of streaming services. You can choose from millions of tracks available on the TIDAL, Beatport Streaming, Beatsource Streaming, & SoundCloud Go+ platforms (subscriptions required) and mix them together on the DDJ-FLX4.
4-Channel mixer
The mixer section has 4 channels, so you can freely create mashups or scratch on the fly.
Audio interface
Thanks to a built-in sound card, the DJ controller connects straight to your speakers or amplifier via a single RCA cable. Plus you can record to rekordbox using the same USB connection.

Great for beginners.
For a starter, this is the controller to get. As a predecessor of the ddj 400, this incorporates many new features that are beginner friendly (beat sync, smart cross fade, etc). However, these features should not be abused as it can lead to bad habits. Compact so it’s easy to travel with, but that also means that the jog wheel is small. The controller feels of high quality but compared to the flx10 and club equipment it feels like a toy. If you want to be future proof, get the flx6 with the 4 channel mixer. If you are trying to se if you like it, get this! It’s a very solid beginner controller

excellent quality and very portable. USB C makes it super convenient to use and can be battery powered. highly rec for beginners
