What's the Story?
UNLIKELY ANIMAL FRIENDS is a reality series that follows animals who bond with other species. From a baby cheetah who's purposely bonded with a puppy to give him more confidence to an Airedale terrier who raises guinea pigs as her own, the series shows the unique connections animals are capable of making. Some unlikely relationships between animals and people also are featured. With the help of animal owners, behaviorists, trainers, and wildlife experts, viewers get some insight into the habits of the animals and learn how and why these relationships are formed.
Is It Any Good?
The show offers a look at how animals are able to bond with different species thanks to specific circumstances that cause them to become friends and support each other. It also highlights how intelligent and sensitive certain animals are and how these gifts allow them to bond with fellow animals and humans in ways that make their relationship look a lot like a caring friendship.
It's full of positive messages about animals and wildlife and underscores the many roles animals can play in the lives of humans and other creatures. Animal lovers will thoroughly enjoy it, but even the toughest viewers may have a hard time not smiling at some of what's featured here.
