'We like uninterrupted conversations and furniture without grape juice on it': Ellen DeGeneres says she and wife Portia de Rossi don't regret not having children
Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi have long been open about not wanting to have children.
And now American chat host star Ellen, 58, remains firm the pair have no regrets about their decision.
The TV star told Sunday Style: 'We talked about it for a minute, about four years into the relationship, but we just decided we like our conversations not being interrupted and our furniture without sticky grape juice on it.'

The personality added she thinks the entertainment industry can be hard on children as they 'have to share their parents with the world.'
She and Australian actress Portia tied the knot at their Los Angeles home in 2008, with Ellen coming out as lesbian in 1997 on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
Ellen told Sunday Style she came out for herself telling the publication: 'If I'm part of somebody's journey and I helped them, that's great but... I did it for myself,' she said.

Ellen previously told NBC's Today that she didn't want to have children, despite 'loving' kids.
She joked: 'It seems like a commitment that you have to stick with. And I just don't know if I can—it's too risky.'
'Like, what if I don't like the kid?,' she laughed.
'What if it turns out that it's not as cute as I wanted or as talented? I'm gonna compare it to all these kids that I have on this show that are so smart and so funny.'

Portia, 43, came out as gay in 2005.
The Ally McBeal star previously told Out.com she never wanted to be a mother: 'There comes some pressure in your mid-30s, and you think, "am I going to have kids so I don't miss out on something that other people really seem to love?
'"Or is it that I really genuinely want to do this with my whole heart?" I didn't feel that my response was "yes" to the latter.'
She added about her and Ellen: 'You have to really want to have kids, and neither of us did.'
