After Amessha Patel said that she could reject Gadar 3, she claimed that her relationship with Anil Sharma was never good, and he initially had other actors planned for Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.
After Gadar 2's blockbuster success, Sakina aka Ameesha Patel told a media portal that she might reject Gadar 3 if her character doesn't get importance in the narrative. Director Anil Sharma reacted to her claims about rejecting Gadar 3, and told Bollywood Hungama, "Unke kehne ya sochne se kya hota hai? I am happy she’s so connected with Gadar. I’d like to thank them. Woh achha ya bura jo bhi bole, unka mann hai." Anil also hinted that Ameesha has told her many things even during the production, but he respects her.
Now, Ameesha has reacted to Anil's reply and told News18 that her relationship with Mr Anil Sharma was never good, even during Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Ameesha said that Anil is like family to her, but they don’t always get along.
Ameesha said that Sakina was created by Shaktiman Talwar (writer), and not by Mr. Anil Sharma. She further revealed that Anil originally wanted Mamta Kulkarni and Govinda as Sakina and Tara Singh. "I was cast as Sakina by Zee, not Mr. Anil Sharma. For me, Gadar was always about Sunny and for Zee. In fact, Mr Nitin Keni was the reason I was in Gadar 1, and Mr Anil Sharma preferred Mamta Kulkarni over me. Anil Sharma wanted Govinda as Tara, but Zee wanted Sunny. So yes, his and my choices are poles apart."
Ameesha said that she tweeted about the pending dues and supported Simrat Kaur against online trolling, but she deleted the tweets later on Anil's request. The actress claimed, "I have chats of all of them. In fact, I have chats with Zee Studios as well, where they were shocked at Anilji’s way of handling the production, and it was Zee who resolved all the issues. I have chats of Zee Studios’ team, so in case Mr Anil Sharma denies it, I can always help him out by showing the chats. There are loads of videos of Mr Anil Sharma as well where he has committed various things to me, which he also didn’t fulfil. So if he wants, I can show them as well." Ameesha further asserted that she stands by her words, and will reject Gadar 3 if Sakina won't have a key role.
