    SONY P51 review

Typical Sony (remember the Betamax VCRs?) and while it takes standard AA batteries, the memory card is not the normal SD or SDHC but a SONY Memory "STICK". Not easy to find and not cheap. Camera is good though.

  • Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P51 - Good First Digital Camera

Pros: Compact size, ease take pictures, ease to download into computer. Cons: Slow recharge of flash. Problems with auto-focus. The Bottom Line: A good, inexpensive, easy to use first digital camera. If you want to buy a digital camera...try this one out. My Review: I purchased this camera as my first venture into digital photography. If you are going to buy a digital camera, be prepared to buy all the extras that you will need. You have to buy rechargable batteries, a camera case and a larger memory stick. This will add up to around another $100.00. The directions for the camera were clear to quickly learn how to point and shoot and then download into the computer. The flash takes forever to recharge, but the flash is necessary. Otherwise you get dark, fuzzy pictures. Sure the dark ...

  • Perfect Starter Camera

This camera is great to travel for different events. My fiance owned one previously to me buying this one used for my teenage daughter. For example, I have a powershot camera and when taking the same picture from my camera and my fiances camera the same shot comes out great from my end and completely blurry from his end from time to time. Like I said this camera is great if you just want a basic camera for taking pictures. The flash is bright, so I've never experienced any dark pictures as described above on either one of the cameras, it is actually extremely bright if you ask me. The screen has never blanked out on either one (my fiance has had his for 4 years and it's still going strong) You can buy any sony mem card from anywhere. We got a 4gig and took 40mins of recording and a host of ...

  • Nice Camera for first timer!

I have had this camera for about three years now and overall I have really enjoyed it. It's very simple to use and my pictures have turned out great. The only problem I have with it is the delay time after you press the button. It's excellent for still shots, but not so great if you take lot's of action shots like I do. But for the most part, I enjoyed my Sony cyber-shot.

  • Sony Cybershot DSC-P51 Camera

Bought a DSC-P30 for my wife to take to Disneyworld. The camera took such good pictures that when I had the opportunity to get the P-51 on E-Bay at a Steal, I jumped on it. I use the DSC-P51 at work, and it's perfect. Both of these cameras are excellent for picture quality, and very easy to use. True point-n-shoot cameras. There really isn't anything I don't like about the camera. Jim McGovern
