If you love Dodge vehicles but want to go green when you make your next car purchase, you’re in luck. There are a number of Dodge electric cars available or currently in the works, and the experts here at Heritage Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM Owings Mills look forward to telling you more about them.

Hybrid Dodge Vehicles

A hybrid uses a combination of gasoline and electric power. The 2023 Dodge Hornet is a plug-in hybrid vehicle, and it is currently the only electrified vehicle in the Dodge lineup.

Because it’s a plug-in hybrid, the Dodge Hornet can be plugged into electrical outlets or charging stations to regain battery life. It can also switch over to electric power, giving you around 30 miles of zero-emission driving range. This mode is great for making short trips or running quick errands in town without the need for any gasoline.

Future Dodge Electric Cars

More electrified Dodge models are in the works. If you haven’t already heard, the gas-powered Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger will be retired after the 2023 model year. Their replacements will be all-electric muscle cars.

But if you are concerned that these new electrified models won’t be powerful enough, don’t be — the Dodge brand is still committed to delivering driving thrills. We are excited to see what these greener versions of the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger can do when they hit the market next year.
