996 days with Penang GH Today marks my last day of serving as a hospital pharmacist under MOH. Could still recall orientation days and moments when I couldn't locate drugs while filling prescriptions. The anxiousness when dispensing alone for the very first time, gowning in to enter cleanrooms, participating in ward rounds, obtaining medication histories, counselling patients and many more. Being in the healthcare profession, I've always reminded myself that my words and actions matter (whether directly or indirectly) as my patients and colleagues trust me enough to do the right thing. One principle I consistently held on to is that there is no room for negligence and that priorities should always be placed on patients' well-being. And that has always driven me to do better each day! Truly blessed to have the opportunity to serve in this profession. Thank you to everyone whom I've crossed paths with at Penang GH, especially the pharmacy team. Words can't describe how grateful I am to those who have guided and believed in me. Though no longer at the frontline, there's still much for me to learn out there and I'm looking forward to the coming chapter. Wishing everyone a blessed and fruitful July!
Best of luck! And thank you for your service during such difficult times.
