The rarely-seen child star from the hit fantasy film Peter Pan, Jeremy Sumpter, looks unrecognisable 20 years after appearing in the movie as he announced he has become a father.

Playing the lead role in the 2003 movie, Jeremy was the first crush of many young viewers as they watched on as he fell in love with Wendy Darling on the big screen.

But these days the child star is all grown up, and his doting fans are overjoyed for him after he shared the happy update online.

Revealing that he has become a father at age 34, Jeremy shared the joyous news of his first daughter's birth on social media.

Sharing an adorable snap of his baby girl on his Instagram page last weekend, Jeremy wrote: “Lucy Snow is here!!! And she’s beautiful!! Like her momma!

“Realised that before today I have never truly loved anything in my life… nothing compares! 8lbs, 8oz.”

As well as the snap of him holding his newborn baby, he also included a sweet snap of his wife Elizabeth preparing to give birth.

Fans were quick to flock to the comments section in disbelief, with one person writing: “Peter pans got kids?!“

Another said: “Peter pan has a baby my heart is healing congrats!“

“Peter Pan is officially all grown up! Congrats,“ added a third, while a fourth penned: “Duuuude! Peter Pan has kids!“

He then took to Instagram again during the week to share a snap of his daughter in his lap, with him captioning the snap: “She loves being in daddy's lap. I love you more than anything my sweet girl.“

Jeremy married his now-wife Elizabeth Treadway in a ceremony in Columbia, Tennessee on October 1, 2022.

They then announced they were expecting a baby girl on December 25, 2022.

These days Jeremy looks very different to how he did when he portrayed Peter Pan in the hit P.J. Hogan movie - although he looks incredibly youthful still.

After he starred alongside the likes of Jason Isaacs as Captain Hook and Rachel Hurd-Wood as Wendy Darling, Jeremy didn't stop acting and went on to star in horror film An American Crime.

And more recently, the actor who started out as a model when he was 11, starred in Into The Storm.
