Kareena Kapoor is set to star with Yash in his upcoming film Toxic, a new report has claimed. Yash announced his new film last year and revealed the title in December. While details about the film are still under the wraps, a new report has claimed that Kareena will be seen in the leading role in the film. If the rumour is true, this will mark Kareena’s Kannada film debut.
According to Filmfare, director Geetu Mohandas and Yash are likely to make the announcement of Kareena joining the starcast in the coming days. It is also said that the filming of the movie will start in a few weeks.
Kareena is not the first Bollywood actress who will be working with Yash. In 2022, Yash was seen working with Raveena Tandon and Sanjay Dutt in KGF 2.
Speaking of Toxic, the film marks Yash’s 19th film. Not only did he released the title last month but he also released a short video that seemingly gives a first look at his character. The video features a number of anti-heroes, including DC Comic’s famous villain Joker. With every picture of these anti-heroes catching flames, the closer we get to Yash’s look in the movie.
We finally meet the actor, sporting a pot-belly, a retro hat and a machine gun in his hand. He sports a cigar while he rests the gun on his shoulder. The title ‘Toxic’ is then played out. The film’s tagline reads, “A fairytale for grown up.”

Yash’s stardom skyrocketed, and he established himself as a pan-India star after starring in the 2018 release of KGF, followed by KGF 2 in 2022. The latter one minted more than Rs 1,000 crore at the worldwide box office collection solidifying his status as a star.
