Common Name Stapelia-like Grammatophyllum

Flower Size 2" [5 cm]

A medium sized, epiphytic, warm to hot growing species from Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Celebes and the Philippines in rainforests on larger tree trunks at elevations of 200 to 1000 meters with ovoid, laterally compressed, clustered pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, leathery leaves and blooms in the later spring and summer on a basal, pendulous, 1 1/2' [45 cm] long, several to many [to 10] flowered, racemose inflorescence with waxy, long-lasting, foul smelling flowers.
