Over the years he played drums in many rock music groups in the Orange County area of Southern California including 7th Grade, Silicone Silos, 16 Tons, and Social Distortion. Carr also played guitar. Carr lived and worked in Fullerton, California. In addition to playing drums in local bands, he was a drum instructor and wrote the book, Advanced Grooves for the Advanced Drummer as an aid for his students. In 1993, Carr joined up with former The Mechanics guitarist Tim Racca to form 16 Tons. The band 16 Tons, though short-lived, received much critical acclaim for their 1993 instrumental rock CD, Motorhome, consisting primarily of Racca's compositions. DRUM! Magazine wrote in its August 1996 issue, "16 Tons explodes with furious energy, propelled by Carr's powerhouse drumming." Carr worked with the band Social Distortion from 1993 through 1995. He toured as their drummer at all live performances during this period. After a Los Angeles show, Mike Boehm wrote in the May 8, 1995 Los Angeles Times, "S.D.'s set was the longest and by far the finest of the day, 55 minutes of dark majesty powered by a new drummer, Randy Carr, who played his first major gig with the band and helped Social Distortion churn and drive with impressive force and fresh suppleness." He was also the studio drummer for OC punk band The Vectors, and is credited on their album Behind the Orange Curtain. In late 2001 Carr began suffering from Cushing's syndrome. He died from the disease on March 27, 2002 at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center in Irvine, California.

He previously played for Premier League teams Tottenham Hotspur and, for a shorter spell, Newcastle United. He is a former international player with the Republic of Ireland. His primary position was right back, but had been known to deputise at left back or centre back when required. In May 2013, he confirmed his intention to retire from football. - 2308/19/1946Freddie Alton Carr (August 19, 1946 – February 19, 2018) was an American football player who played linebacker for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL) from 1968 to 1977.Carr attended Phoenix Union High School where he competed in basketball, and representing P.U.H.S. as a discus thrower and in the shot put. Fred was in the top ten discus throwers in the US in his senior year. He played for Phoenix College before transferring to the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) in 1965, where he was called "Probably the best overall linebacker in school history." Fred was inducted into the UTEP Athletics Hall of Fame, September 23, 2005, and would later also be elected to the Phoenix College (PCAA) Hall of Fame in their inaugural class of 2007.Carr was drafted in the first round of the 1968 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. Carr's professional career spanned 10 seasons, all with the Packers. Sabin Carr
09/04/1904Sabin William Carr (September 4, 1904 in Dubuque, Iowa – September 12, 1983 in Santa Barbara, California) was an American athlete who competed in the men's pole vault. He competed in Athletics at the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam and won gold. In 1927, Sabin Carr set new indoor and outdoor world records. In early February he took the indoor record up to 13-7⅛ (4.14), which he improved one week later to 13-9¼ (4.19). In May, at the IC4A outdoor, he became the first man to clear 14 feet (4.27), then in 1928, at the AAU indoor, he vaulted 14-1 (4.29) to become the first to clear 14 feet indoors. In 1928, Carr lost his world outdoor record to the 1924 Olympic champion, Lee Barnes, but at the Olympics, Carr got his revenge – he took the gold medal, with Barnes finishing fifth. Carr, a Yale graduate, had a fine record in major championships, winning the AAU indoor twice, the IC4A outdoor three times, and the IC4A indoor twice. Oddly he never placed better than third at the AAU outdoor meet. Carr eventually went into the lumber business in Oakland, California, and became president of the Sterling Lumber Co. - 2507/12/1950Paul Charles Caravello (July 12, 1950 – November 24, 1991) better known by his stage name Eric Carr, was an American musician and multi-instrumentalist who was the drummer for the rock band Kiss from 1980 to 1991.
