RUNGRATH NARATRIKOON: very well, thank you…

How old are you?

I am 27 years old

You come of what region of the Thailand?

I am of Rattaphum in the province of Songkhla in the South of the country…

You are married,do you have children?

Yes and I have a girl

Have you brothers and sisters?

Yes I have a brother who is a boxer also, he trains for the camp Detrap in Bangkok…

You were a brawler when you were a child?

No I’m never fought

You began the boxing at which age?

In 12 years

How did you discover the boxing?

My father was boxer is him who taught me the bases of Muay Thai…

You began Muay Thai in which camp?

I began in a quite small camp near in my home…

At what age you have make your first fight?

In 12 years, I lost my fight in points, but I gained 250 bahts what is good because I had not a lot of money (Laughter)

You came to which age to Bangkok?

In 14 years I was in Bangkok in the camp Malateekong, I stayed 11 years in camp then I was in the camp Sor Sommai where I am from now on 2 years…

 

You live in the camp?

Yes I have a room which I share with four other boxers…

 

In what category you fight?

Before in 108 lbs then in 118 lbs and today in 124 lbs 

What are the titles which you gained?

I gained three belts, in 2005 I gained world champion WMC’s belt in 108 lbs against Meetpayak at Lumpinee, in 2007 the belt of Radja in 108 lbs against Anchai Kiatyongyut and in 2009 the belt TV7 in 118 lbs against Praseng!

How much have you make of fights during your career?

220 fights, 180 victories, 5 draws and 35 defeats

 

You gained many fights by KO?

Not a lot, just about fifteen victories by KO…

 

You have which style of boxing?

I am Muay Khao (Strong in knees)…

What was your hardest fight?

Against Penaik Sitnumnoi, two years ago in Lumpinee, was very hard in front of him because he is tall and difficult to fight, we met five times in all, I won twice and he beat me three times..

Your best memory of boxing?

My victory on Anchai for the belt of the stadium of Radja, a beautiful memory!

What are the known Thai boxers whom you faced?

Penaik (2 victories, 3 defeats), Saketdao (Victory), Anchai (Victory), Kaimukhao (Victory by KO), Payakissan (Defeat), Phetek (Victory), Sirimongkhon (1 victory, 1 draw), Ritijak, (1 Draw, 1 victory by KO), Naka (Victory by KO), Superbank (Defeat), Luknimit (1 victory, 1 Defeat), Meetpayak (Victory), Praseng (Victory)…

 

You have already fought abroad?

Not never

Would you like to go to fight for example in France?

Yes a lot!

You know French boxers?

I know Chong Skarbowsky, very hardly!

The best nakmuay foreign, for you it is who?

Today I don’t know I don’t know too much the foreign fighters, I know only Chong Skarbowsky because I saw him several times fighting in the stadium of Radja!

And the best Thai fighter, today, it is who according to you?

Seanchai Sor Kingstar!

What technique you most like making in fight?

The knocks of knees!

I have a house in the South, a car and even a motorcycle, thus that goes…

On March 20th in Lumpinee against Looknimit Singkhlongsi, we already met twice with a victory for me and a victory for him…

I want to open a camp in the South near in my home…

Rungrath made a draw against Looknimit Singkhlongsi, then in 2012, he beat again Sirimongkhon P.K. Muaythaigym, met Yokwitaya Petsimuu where the match ended by a draw and finally he lost in points against the young boy who takes up Tanonchai Thor Sangtiennoi!
In 2013, he lost in points in Lumpinee, in main fight, against Auisewpor Zujibamikew, in a very hard fight then in Radja he beat Khunsub Suvitgym and lost against Wisanupon Sujibamikiew!

Rungrath beat great champions such as Penaik Sitnumnoi (Lumpinee Champion, Omnoi Champion, TV7 Champion, Thailand Champion, World champion WPMF), Saketdao Phetpayathai (Lumpinee Champion, Radja champion, World champion WBC), Kaimukhao Chuwattana by KO (Radja Champion) and Sirimongkhon P.K. Muaythaigym (Double champion of the Radja)!
Rungrath is the spearhead of the camp Sor Sommai, he makes the pride of his manager and boss of the camp, famous Sommai Sakulmetta, one of the biggest promoter of the stadium of Radja!
