The focus of this series of artworks is thus turned towards the state of our youth, who are purported to be having the best years of their lives, which are, regrettably, halted for the moment under the necessity of the quarantine. What would he be doing to pass the time, or rather, who are they when no one is looking? Who are we at our most solitary? With the idea of a window having a frame with which to look in and through,… these portrait paintings seek to be taken as a window into the souls of its subjects, Using a dominant shade of red in an effort to denote passion and imminence, these portraits of local teenagers, each with a unique brand of individuality, seek to inspire hope, courage and excitement for the future, as the spirit of promise burns ever brighter in spite of external challenges
