Androgynous model Andrej Pejic to star in reality TV show

Fans of Andrej Pejic will soon get a glimpse into the life of the world’s most famous androgynous fashion model. The 20-year-old Serbian-Australian stunner is currently filming a reality TV show featuring him and his mother, Jadranka Savic. The show will reportedly follow Pejic as he goes to casting calls and job assignments in New York City.

Pejic has been the only model to successfully work for both men’s and women’s clothing designers. In 2011, he walked both the men’s and women’s runway shows for Jean Paul Gaultier, and during New York Fashion Week this year, Pejic modeled in five menswear shows and four womenswear shows.

While some people in the fashion industry seem to have a hard time pinpointing Pejic’s gender, the model, who considers himself “androgynous”, told New York Magazine in an interview last year that gender is just a matter of perception and is open to interpretation.

“I don’t feel the need to explain myself,” Pejic was quoted as saying in NY Magazine. “It’s not like, ‘Okay, today I want to look like a man, or today I want to look like a woman.’ I want to look like me. It just so happens that some of the things I like are feminine.”

"Androgynous?" He's prettier than most women.
