Gone are the days of dreary porcelain bowls. We’re ushering in an entirely new era of golden toilets, so we can all feel like kings and queens as we wipe ourselves. Ultimate goals.

Yes, we're serious. If you happen to be visiting the Guggenheim Museum in New York, you can officially cross this one off your bucket list. Milan-based designer Maurizio Cattelan created an 18-carat golden commode, installed in a tiny bathroom toward the top of a spiral staircase in the museum, HouseBeautiful reports. It’s fully functional, and beginning today, it’s open to the public.

Since it’s not just any old lavatory, however, tourists must counsel with security personnel beforehand. The guard will stand near the restroom, answering inquiries and letting people in individually. Don’t even think about using the buddy system here.

The artist’s overall intention for the work is admirable. According to the museum website, Cattelan wishes to make available to the public “an extravagant luxury product seemingly intended for the 1%,” calling to mind the American dream of opportunity and the unavoidable physical realities of mankind. Who knew a quick pee could be so deep?
