The Law of Attraction states that positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into one's own life. Michelle Ikediobi knows what she wants out of her life and will manifest every ounce of goodness through her positive intentions, her work ethic and her ambition-- and that's a fact!


Growing up in Houston, Texas, Michelle knew that she was ultimately destined for greatness and that there was so much more to life than what she knew. With an eagerness to pursue her theories about what life had to offer and carrying nothing but positive intentions, she ventured to New York where she attended the University of Rochester. She always found herself attracted to the latest commercials and ads as she viewed them as an escape from reality. This made it a no-brainer when deciding to pursue a degree in Marketing and Finance.


In her studies she found herself fighting for her voice to be recognized by her predominately white male counterparts. Seen similarly in her hometown, Michelle witnessed a lack of representation within the Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations space. One day she decided to make her voice heard by her own terms. Combined her love for analyzing the context and purpose of these marketing campaigns and her knack for style grew "The Brand Box." The Brand Box is hub for marketers and advertisers to learn about the latest campaigns and for people to see the inspiration and context behind the ads as consumers.

The Brand Box focuses on breaking down culturally relevant and popular advertisements and marketing campaigns in an easy to understand manner. From uncovering the blossoming success of Megan Thee Stallion's brand and why her persona resonates with "The Hotties" to understanding the widespread growth and appeal of the commercialized cannabis industry, The Brand Box curates a comprehensive yet entertaining understanding of how your favorite brands and companies get you to engage in subtle and some times not as subtle ways.


Michelle is also currently working with clients on digital marketing strategies to help them execute successful campaigns for their own brands. Five years from now, she envisions The Brand Box expanding into a team that will help her grow into a podcast and blog to produce content that focuses on luxury, tech and pop culture brands from a marketing perspective. But ultimately, her dream would be for Black people to have peace of mind and realize that they truly have autonomy over their own lives and can attain it by whatever means necessary.


“I feel like there’s always pressure on my shoulder because I have to do 125% and if I don’t there will be reasons for not hiring another Black woman after me. So I always go in with the mentality that I’m doing this for the people who came before me, the people who opened the door for me to even be sitting at this table and for the people who are coming behind me."
