We told you GMC was set to reveal an all-electric Hummer SUV, right? Well, here it is, ladies and gents.

It looks basically the same as the Hummer EV pickup, only this one comes as a complete SUV, of course.  It also packs a similar powertrain and identical features as the electric pickup version.

It’s driven by General Motors’ (GM) Ultium platform, and can be had with two or three electric motors. Top-spec Hummer EV SUVs boast up to 830hp and 3.5sec 0-97kph runs. That’s significantly lower than the pickup’s 1,000hp output, but it’s still impressive. Range, meanwhile, can reach more than 480km on one full charge, according to GM’s estimate.

Inside, the new GMC Hummer EV SUV gets the same futuristic and luxurious interior as the electric pickup. It also comes equipped with an Infinity Roof with removable Sky Panels, as well as an I-Bar and a rear drop glass.

The Hummer EV SUV gets the Super Cruise hands-free driving feature as standard, too and is available for use on more than 322,000km of enabled roads. It can be spec’d with the Extreme Off-Road package, which includes underbody armor and cameras, rock sliders, and 18-inch wheels shod in 35-inch OD MT tires. This package also adds the Hummer’s Extract Mode and CrabWalk functions.

The next-gen Hummer made its debut during the recently concluded NCAA Final Four via a commercial clip narrated by NBA superstar LeBron James. You can check out the official video below:

“The GMC Hummer EVs were envisioned to be the most capable and compelling electric supertrucks ever,” said GMC and Buick global vice president Duncan Aldred. “The new Hummer EV SUV is the next chapter, which will offer many options for customers to tailor the truck to their lifestyles while continuing to encourage them to forge new paths with zero emissions.”

This new Hummer will be available as early as 2023, with more affordable versions to follow by 2024. Prices range from $79,995 to $110,595. (P3.88-5.37 million) What do you think of it? Like it better than the first one?
