Watch: the first trailer for Incredibles 2 gives Mr. Incredible a brand-new job

Disney and Pixar’s long-awaited sequel hits theaters in June.

It’s been a long, long wait for the return of The Incredibles, but the sequel is finally almost here. Disney released the first official trailer and footage from The Incredibles 2 during NBC’s Olympics coverage on Wednesday night.

The trailer reveals the gist of the new film: Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) is now a stay-at-home super parent while Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) concentrates on saving the world. We see Mr. Incredible try to help Dash with math homework, wrangle Jack-Jack, and ask Edna Mode for advice. It’s pretty light on the action, possibly signaling that there will be something more nefarious at play — like a villain or two — than meets the eye.

Previously, Disney had released a comical teaser in November that featured Jack-Jack exhibiting superpowers.

Many Disney fans have been clamoring for an Incredibles sequel since the original hit movie, directed by Brad Bird and released in 2004, examined the “normal” family life of the Parrs, a family blessed with superpowers. But for a while, it was unclear if we’d ever see one. It wasn’t until the attendees of Disney’s 2017 D23 Expo were presented with surprise footage that anyone received solid confirmation that The Incredibles would return.

The Incredibles 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on June 15.
