The settlement comes 20 months after Cisco sued Huawei for allegedly using stolen Cisco's technology to develop a line-up of routers and switches sold in competition to the networking giant"
It happened before, so who can guarantee it won't happen again on much greater scale?

What most of people, mostly Huawei Mobile fans don't seem to understand is there is a difference between spying for ads and when a political opponent has the ability to control data for the purposes he wants. Not ideal right? That can be tolerated only in states where they are all allies. I wonder why? Lol..
In China, they also had restrictions against some American or "western" things because they are not on the same side politically, so what is the problem?
It's all politics mate.... do you actually think you will find all your answers on the internet?

To shorten things up... The issue for Huawei was they couldn't provide enough of evidence for the US court what would happened in case CCCP asks Huawei for sensitive data.

I really don't know why did I answered this one.

        That camera does not look impressive at all. Looks like a generic phone camera.

        So far no cameraphone after the Nokia 808 PureView has the look like a real DSLR.

          the os here is emui, aosp based and not google property.
          HarmonyOS used aosp libraries for compatibilty and transition and will get rid of them
          Aosp libraries are also used in windows (windows linux subsystem) that doesn't mean it is a fork
          google only own google services. I didn't create android and it isn't the only developper of android

So if Huawei products users praised or supporting what they have experienced on their devices so be it and forget about other arguments. Huawei have gone miles away from her competitors.

                I was able to buy one recently and I have gotten it almost how I want it. US buyer beware that in order to use the Huawei app store, you must have a phone number from an approved country. Oddly they consider Puerto Rico an approved country. I was able to get a Puerto Rico phone number (area 939) and was then able to get into the app store.

                I was able to get this going pretty well, but Android Auto is not usable on this phone. It is not built in as a system application. Even if you download it, it will not work. I've read online where there is a way to convert this to a system app, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to try to follow this procedure. I had a previous Huawei and Android Auto worked well - but not with this baby.

                Overall the phone is sweet.

They�... moreEven if they were to put a micro four thirds sensor on a smartphone sometime in the future, I'm pretty sure you'd be left with pretty much no more space for any other cameras, like an ultrawide or telephoto... that unless they decide to use the lower section of the smartphone's back panel, which I just don't see happening. Smartphones shouldn't achieve such a level of camera performance as ILCs. After all, they're smartphones. And while technology does indeed evolve, making such thing get closer and closer to reality, it still won't be able to match a micro 4/3 camera, 'cause then the lens "issue" would come in. It's not all about the sensor. The lens plays a crucial role too and unless they decide to create a mount around the sensor of the phone so that certain lenses can be attached (similarly to the Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept), then I don't see smartphones reaching ILC-camera quality not in 100 years

                    My love for Huawei go way back to when mate series were released. This is a game changer in camera phones, photography on another level. Simply i love how real the images of Pura are.

                          A good camera phone is one with a large camera bump.

I don't believe for a second what you've said about yourself or that you've ever owned a Huawei phone. You're just a US bot smearing Huawei phones and talking up iPhones. Huawei have been churning out better phone cameras than Apple since the P20 Pro and they still lead Apple. The only way Apple is getting ahead is through US government bans and sanctions.

                                I just would like to point out to Chinese keyboard "warriors" that if Huawei can do nothing bad, and Apple can do nothing good then noone will listen. The impact of their messages become close to zero. It's just a piece of advice from me. Give credit where credit is due.

                                I dislike iphones but those photos do look amazing. Can't deny that. I hope Huawei kicks their asses, and they make a comeback. Back and forth. 😎 Who will win? Consumers all over the world, American or Chinese, everybody wins.

You're suggesting that there is something about Huawei phones that people should go out of their way to apologise for or defend. No one is going out of their way to apologise for or defend Huawei. They are doing spectacularly well despite all the US sanctions and are making class-leading products.

                                    Given your username is alcatraz, I assume you're American. How did you even manage to buy Honor or Huawei phones in the US?

                                      Huawei is a lot smarter than some of the people defending them online. Some of the rabid people writing for Huawei are making Huawei look bad. I have a lot of respect for Huawei. Some of the people arguing for Huawei however are often ridiculous. I just wish them to know that they aren't helping Huawei look good by replying to every anti-chinese post out there. You're associating Huawei to the level of bickering children.
