Anonymous, 5 hours agoDo you have any supporting documentation for this statement... moreThere is a YouTuber who tears down Samsung phones & he basically told his viewers that according to his sources that work at the local Samsung assembly line: "The reason Samsung phones constantly switch to 4G/4G+ is not because the phone dropped 5G signal, but rather because the software algorithm is tuned to reduce SAR levels & conserve battery life." (Youtube Video ID: qx9efueQagQ at 4:30)
So this is a good thing from a Health perspective. 👍 (It also allows Samsung phones to last longer than your average Chinese phone that stays connected to 5G all the time lol)
Even Apple has their own version of this & they call it "5G Auto", but Apple's Smart 5G algorithm is more lenient & it rarely drops 5G signals comparatively (maybe the iOS status bar lies to users by not updating the icon right away idk lol) whereas Samsung's algorithm on the other hand is stricter & you can notice it in real time.

Phone specs are decent. But the camera needs an update. Can't stay with 12mp miniature sensor for ultrawide and useless 5mp macro for decoration of the back panel.

However, my main issue here is the 5G signal reception. I observed that when other phones like my Poco F3 and iPhone has 4 bars (with 5 bars as maximum) of 5G signal, my A55 can't get the 5G signal so it drops to 4G+. In areas where my Poco F3 and iPhone has full bars with 5G signal, my A55 takes a while before it switches to 5G. Additionally, there are many areas where my POCO F3 and iPhone has full 5G bars, but my A55 is still on 4G+. That's how poor its 5G reception is. I guess samsung tweaked its software such that it will prefer 4G signal when it can to save some power.

If the brand name microsd is sold on a non reputable vendor and priced very very cheap vs the ones sold from the manufacturer/authorized retailers in your area, then they are fake.
And you should check each specification from the makers like Samsung or Sandisk as they will have different performance and different prices.
It's just a simple google search.

If something exists, someone in China will ... morewhat are the bad brands, can you write the name, because even well-known brands can work badly, even to the point of destruction, i bought 2 sd cards from kingston and only after a few days, the phones started to slow down and in the end it came down to several reboots in progress until finally after 2 weeks the cards failed, I got new ones but the thing happens again, this time I went immediately and it turned out that they have a problem with this well-reputed brand and I got a sandisk that still works today,

That's why they should only be bought from their maker's respective stores (Samsung, Sandisk, Lexar etc).

Are there fake memory cards? we have a choice of brands, but fake SD, where does this information come from, each SD card has a brand name and a sign for data transfer speed, such as SDHC-XC 30MB/S OR 100mb/s, etc., not to mention, but fake, what is it, your complaints should be sent to Samsung maybe they don't know how to do it

Anonymous, 16 May 2024it's not as you wrote, because it's becoming rare... moreMemory cards only cause problems if the user buys fake ones. In fact, Samsung just made a faster variant of microsd but none of their S flagships can use them.
And it's funny because this company keeps making a certain product line that has 3.5mm jack, microsd card slot and a little water resistance while having a removable back cover.
It's two years since the release of Xcover6 Pro and a successor is a bit overdue.

And they must have turned a blind eye on the screen as well. It looked ugly in person. Tried many units, including my friend's A55. Even on Vivid, it doesn't look good.

- S23 FE has bad battery life
- Google Pixel 8 has great updates but it's so small (it depends on whether you prefer Google's UI or Samsung's OneUI)
- A55 will get 4 years + has good battery + cheaper + but it's no where as good as flagship in certain areas (like hardware proximity sensor or telephoto lens or wireless charging)
If you just want to get by, you can still find last year's A54 at a discount & it's really good. (it will get 3 years of updates all while being 30% cheaper than A55)
