You're right about it being slow in a lot of ways, but if you were like me and came from a Samsung Tab3, then the A7 is blazing fast.

If all you want it for is media (watching stuff, not gaming), browsing the web, and various other thing that can make use of a big screen it's amazing, but if you're looking for gaming... well, it's alright, provided we're talking 2D games here, you'll get hitches every now and again and you will 100% notice that lack of ram. This is all based on my experience on Samsung's stock OS with some bloat removed.
My recommendation regarding price is $130usd (or cheaper) second hand (there are plenty going for around this price in my area), otherwise I wouldn't bother.

Sd 662 isn't good for t... moreUnfortunately, that's one of the main contributors as to why it's so cheap, most budget tabs have far worse SOCs and unfortunately if you want better, you have to go to tabs that don't have headphone jacks. Presumably because Samsung doesn't have a clue what a tablet should be and expects you to have the money to buy good quality Bluetooth headphones (which will always be inferior to wired ones).

I do hope you also contacted support about your issue and got a replacement/refund.

Shanestech, 30 Jul 2023custom rom it, mine runs lineageos 20 flawlessly its sooo fastI've heard the same, trouble is that you lose Dolby Atmos when you do that. I might not use the speakers much, but it does seem to do a good job improving sound.
For myself, I'm waiting until someone gets the Android 13 LineageOS going for my version of the tab before deciding.

I bought this crap and after a weak display got green lines and most of the pixels died.. worst display and really disappointed with samsung.. i ve always used samsung and this tab is the last samsung i will ever buy
