I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything Samsung or iphone have to offer and with their attitude towards pwm sufferers (like me) I wouldn't want the eyestrain and headaches that accompanies these devices anyway, which FYI I don't get while using this phone (why is it that only the Chinese manufacturer seem to care about our health).

bruummm, 18 Mar 2024well, in that case... is the software better than ONE UI/OX... moreOne ui is best in their flagship line that is S and Fe seris. On midrange it works but not as smooth. Oxygen os from oneplus and funtouch from vivo are under the bbk umbrella so don't expect a big difference in their performance

if I am looking for a camera centric phone in 2024 and use the device only for day to day task.........is it worth it buying V30 pro over "samsung" or "i phone"(pre-owned) in this budget category? as "pixel" has network i didn't mention it's name. thank you

But from what I've seen, Funtouch is very close to Lenovo/Motorola's UI without the stock look

Am not saying that funtouch is miles ahead of miui/hyper os , but it's more polished . Camera performance is also better on vivo compared to xiaomi 13t

The honor 90 was another mid-range phone with only a mono speaker, I assumed they are deliberately leaving them out to distinguish their mid-range from their flagships, as the gap in performance is getting smaller and smaller , so they need to do something in order to make their flagships seem worth the extra money .

can you check if that overheats on 15-20min o... moreSorry I'm not much of a gamer however I was playing titan quest on full graphics for an hour yesterday and the phone did get quite toasty specifically near the top, I didn't notice any decrease in performance though, but I don't know how demanding titan quest is.
However in day to day activities (internet browsing / using camera etc ) the phone never gets hot.

checked this phone at store, and observed few things... moreI've had the phone for a few days now and don't really find it plasticy, in fact the back feels almost like the one on my brothers green honor magic5 pro also the phone has a weight to it (despite only being 188 grams) that makes it feel much more premium than others I've tried (for example the Motorola edge 40).
The ui doesn't have the most animated flair as others and slightly looks like its running at 90hz rather than 120, but it has never slowed down or stuttered or anything.
I have encountered some minor system bugs but that maybe down to some 3rd party apps , also a widget I have installed on all my phone since forever says it not compatible and won't install and wreakfest on playstores also says it's not compatible (don't know if that android 14 fault).
As for the sound it's ok, not the best but definitely not the worst , however I really don't like the super audio equaliser as I think it distorts the audio a bit (I used a video app that overrode it and the sound quality seemed better) but there is no way of turning it off manually yourself which is a shame .
The camera's are great and I'm not disappointed, the portrait mode is superb and the telephoto len is actually quite capable .
Reception is good and my battery life today is 4hr sot with over 50% remaining.
All in all I'm very happy with the phone and funtouch is still one of my favourite of all the android iterations and it's nice to see they haven't changed it too much in android 14 .
I would say if you can get the phone cheap enough it's definitely a contender in the mid range category .

Guys,
checked this phone at store, and observed few things
1) UI is slower in navigate
2) body seems plasticy
3) camera is major plus point for this phone
4) audio output is not that rich due to mono
accordingly to overall pricing this should be launched at 32k around not more than that, but it is sold 256gb/512gb variant that reaches nearly 49k/50k which is flagship level price.
for camera lovers, go for it
for OS experience okay okay
for stable OS experience , stay away
