This volume publishes the results of the "Jones Day" conference, a meeting of scholars at his alma mater (University College, Oxford) on the bicentennial of his death.

The volume also contains Jones' nine original 'Hymns' to Hindu deities, poems based on Hindu philosophy that influenced Romantics such as William Blake, Robert Southey and Percy Bysshe Shelley.
