May 22, 2024This GE filter works great but does not include all the parts you need to install and the instructions are not accurate, it is like they were written for a different system.
This filter system replaced an under sink Aquasana filter which had 3 canisters that were IMPOSSIBLE to open, had slow water flow, and sometimes leaked. This GE does not have canisters for the filters, they just twist right into the system. It also has great water flow, almost as fast as the regular faucet, and no leaks so far! It crushes the Aqusana filter in every way.
The cons - I will say the GE instructions were not good, they didn’t even seem like they were for the right system, referencing multiple tubes and adapters that were not even included. Luckily I already had a different under sink filter so I just had to swap the lines. But I did have to purchase
a part called “1/4 in. Compression Sleeves and Brass Insert Fittings” in order to connect one of the tubes to the regular kitchen faucet line. I was able to connect the other tube to the filter faucet using the adapter provided (though the instructions are unclear about this).
Bottom line - the water tastes great, the filters are easy to replace, it doesn’t leak, and the flow is very good. If you don’t already have a system installed you may need to hire a plumber to install it, as the instructions are poor and do not include basic parts like the compression sleeves and brass fittings that you need to connect the tube to your faucet water line.
Regardless, I still give this product 5 stars because it is SO much better than the Aquasana system that it replaced. Just do a better time with instructions next time GE!

April 17, 2024My main complaint is the installation instructions didn't match the plumbing pieces that were actually provided with the kit. I ended up buying several pieces that I actually didn't need, but was eventually able to install the unit with the supplied parts after some thought. Other than that the installation, performance so far (couple of days) has been fine. FYI... The kit comes with two 3/8" O.D. water tubes to connect to the inlet and outlet side of the filter cartridge; a T-valve adapter with 2 x 3/8" connections (female and male) to insert into the cold supply line and a push-in 3/8" connection for the plastic water tube; and a 1/4" female to 3/8" push-in adapter to connect to the faucet. As the T-adapter was not described in the manual (apparently there was supposed to be a 3-way T with all push-in connections), there were no instructions on how far past hand-tight attach the adapter to the main cold shut off and the adapter did not have a hex form to apply an adjustable wrench. I hand tighten it as much as possible and haven't observed any leaking as of 24 hours after installation.

May 16, 2024Got it installed, eventually. Filters OK, the faucet is nicer than others.
But GE REALLY screwed up this kit. The 3/8 hoses don't match the 1/4" thread on the faucet! They didn't even try to include a compression fitting for that connection (maybe because no such fitting exists). Yet the box claims it includes everything you need to install it. Including a battery. (There is no battery, nor does the product use one). There was a diagram that made no sense in the installation instructions for the parts you do get. Yet all of the product numbers matched, the unopened box and sealed bags had all the parts shown. You'll need to figure things out yourself, and buy more parts to install this until GE gets their act together.

November 18, 2024Installing the faucet to the sink was next to impossible. I gave up. I have a stainless top mount sink and the threads to the faucet are so long a deep socket bottoms out and a basin wrench slipped. After much trouble in limited space I got the nut to the large washer only to find the bevel of the large washer was too deep to tighten the faucet to the sink properly. In theory I could have reversed the washer but eventually the unit would have moved in the hole since it is impossible to tighten even with a basin wrench
Even if I could have fastened the faucet to the sink I don't see how anyone could use two adjustable wrenches in limited space to fasten the water line as per the instructions.
