This filtration system has been great!!!

We live in the country and run on well water. Our water often has red clay in it and more so after a good rain. There’s nothing quite like standing in the shower and being able to see the red stained water running over you. It stained our white towels and white clothes. One time my wife could even see it in her blonde hair after a shower. It was on our dishes after they had run in the dishwasher. You could clean the toilet and 2 days later there would be a layer of clay in it. I finally got to my breaking point and started researching filtration systems. This one seemed to be the best for the price for me in my situation. Installing was really not too difficult once I decided where I wanted to place the unit. I did add a few accessories that did not come with the unit as seen in the pictures. I added a water pressure booster pump, a pressure regulator, a pressure gauge, a back flow valve, and a water flow meter. I used 3/4” pex pipe as I already had 3/4” pvc pipe in the house. In hindsight I should have used 1” pex as it is closer to the size of the 3/4 pvc. I picked up some fittings to connect everything at the local hardware store. The reason I installed a water pressure booster is because the pressure coming from the well was about 50-55 psi. Once it goes through the filters it comes out at about 45-50 psi when the filters are new. Once they start getting a little dirty the flow drops accordingly. This morning it was down to 25 psi without the booster. I decided to change the filters. I was amazed at how much they had trapped over the last 3 months. My water flow meter shows that we have run about 15000 gallons through them. The life of the filters definitely depends on the quality of water coming in. All in all I have been very pleased with my filtration system and the new quality of water coming out. I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking to make an improvement in water quality.

The system is economical and well built. Visually, it looks the same as the other brands. Although the instructions were subpar, installation was a snap (even if you only have a little skill with hand tools... you'll be fine!). The large o-ring gasket seems to be a weak link. It really doesn't have a good groove to sit in. I suspect it'll be replaced after a few filter changes. The biggest bummer was the compatible GE filter. It's a 20 micron filter. 5 micron filters are available from other brands, but not GE (at least I couldn't find one). The performance of the filter seems to be good. I've only had it in use for a few hundred gallons of water. I bought this to install before a newly installed water softener.
Used it on my RV

I was planning on a 2-month long road trip in my RV and would be staying at multiple campgrounds across the southeast from Maryland, Alabama down into Texas back up throught Tennessee and Kentucky and Pennsylvania. It worked great other than one of the blue canisters had a small to average leak of dripping and it won't stop no matter how many times I reinstall it. The real selling point of this unit. I got to Pennsylvania where I have stayed before and the sulfur smell and taste in the water is sometimes unbearable. Nothing. I mean not a single hint of sulfur came into my RV, drinking, coffee, showering you name. ZERO.
Worth every penny! Quality/price ratio is amazing.

SUPER build quality!! It's almost over-engineered, it's like Germans built this thing. The bracket is a heavy gauge steel, the filter housings are thick and solid (which is why it has a heavy duty bracket, the filter wrench is a thick hard plastic. My plumber installed it in about 20 minutes, it cleaned up the crappy municipal water we have. I also added a spin-down filter at the beginning of the chain, and highly reccommend it as well, as it will also trap sediment regardless of what you municipality tell you about their water being clean.
