I got this soundtrack for a disabled client that I take care of. She loves the cd’s but she gets very upset that it’s not all on once cd. She screams when the cd’s end. Her last copy was all on one cd. There are three songs that weren’t on her last cd and I can tell she enjoys them!

I owned the movie and the CD. I think Madonna did a superb job in her singing, acting including Antonio Banderas who can sing, dance, and act. Banderas is a multi talented man gifted and an absolute delight to watch. I owned other movies that he was in. This CD won't disappoint & I loved it. I saw some negative reviews about Madonna being compared to the original cast which is also superb. I like both of them.

I must admit, back in 1995, I was not happy to hear Madonna landed the role of Eva Peron for the musical film. I kept saying to myself, "What is she going to do? Sing the whole show in one octave?" I had won tickets to one of the premiers, which happened to be taking place in my hometown, Ann Arbor, Michigan. The crowd booed when Madonna's name appeared on the opening curtain call. I had to see the movie...EVITA is my favorite Musical. As usual when it comes to Madonna, her acting is horrible. If you want to call it acting. Reports mention the 'extensive' vocal training she went through. Yeah...'cause she cannot sing. Madonna is a dancer. Madonna played the roll okay...but her mannerisms of Eva Peron are so over exaggerated. We all know how perfect Madonna has to be. Just after the movie was released, Madonna bought the 'Rights' to the musical, Evita; making it impossible for any theatre, band, even youth theatre, to perform 'Evita.' Madonna was delusional believing she could take 'EVITA' on the road. The 5 year copyright rights expired, finally, and now...anyone may perform Evita. I must give a hands up to Madonna for even trying. In no way could she be compared to the 'original recording of Evita, with Julie Covington. Even later on when it finally hit Broadway...who could forget the most famous Evita performance ever? Miss Patti LuPone. As this was a 'Modern' rendition of the musical, I have to give thumbs up to the musical score. Antonio Banderas has noticeable mention and vocal skills. Surprised me at the time. This is definitely a movie or soundtrack to play and just listen as you go about your day. Good Musical Score. Don't get me wrong, it's a good soundtrack. -Zz Prince

Excellent music, story, production, everything. Madonna, who starred in it (along with Antonio Banderas and Jonathon Pryce), said she thought it was her best lifetime achievement, and I agree. Great listening music when driving in my car.
