The box arrived water stained and crushed. The filter itself was sealed with plastic, but when I attempted to install it, it was not compatible with a GE - RPWF. I will be returning the item.

After the detailed review I did for this awful sale, I suppose it is only logical to now get this. The real meaning is nobody that cares and/or has any judgement at all even reads this stuff!

The filter doesn't work. Home Depot sent me to GE to help me solve my problem with a filter created by a company that has no idea how to design a water filter. Is anyone surprised to hear that GE's only answer was to tell me to stop being so cheap and just buy their filters for twice the price! Guess what? They were right...

The filter fit the refrigerator, however the OEM filter contains a chip that the refrigerator reads. These filter replacements do not have the chip and will not work. The refrigerator needs the chip in order to allow water to flow through. The chip also tells the refrigerator that a new filter has been installed. This makes the filters unusable.
